Affordable Living

Every construction process is unique and depends on the scope and complexity of the project and at Coops, we are doing everything we can to make the process easier.


Affordable living is a different level so there’s no ensuite, no walk in pantry, no bells and whistles - it’s for those people that really just want to get into the property market. Home buyers can also have the property tailored to fit their needs, adding or subtracting certain features to fit their budgets.


Depending on how you want it done, there will be a time frame from getting the design, giving it to an engineer, putting it onto a certifier to approve the plans, then we get the permit to build. Buyers can start with a pre-purchased block of land or we can source one.


The end to end experience will see buyers work with our project manager for the entire process, allowing for the project to be completed in a matter of months. Our role includes supervising and coordinating each trade; sourcing, quantifying and coordinating delivery of materials, coordinating the building, sourcing materials at competitive rates and, most importantly, quality-assuring the entire process.

We supply to the mining and the civil industry so we have a pretty big buying power through that. We get a decent discount and we pass that on. The other way we get the costs down is just a lot of difference in efficiencies and managing potential overheads.


We're committed to an end to end experience that delivers customer satisfaction on time and on budget. Many builds need contingency sums or allowances that can be called on to cover unexpected costs. However, the way we nominate preferred subcontractors such as; plumbers, electricians or painters who are reliable and professional to supply and install, means we can have these items quoted at a fixed price.


Well-informed advice from our experienced project manager is critical to quality-assure the decision-making process. We ensure we are all over preliminary cost (e.g. council fees, design, geotechnical report, engineering design and certification, surveyor fees), can assist with site challenges via our civil construction service and ensure material availability from our trusted suppliers.


Other advantages of using a Coops for your home build; we offer an efficient design processes including change made, have available builders and tradespeople as well as the ability to negotiating reasonable and equitable cost savings.
